Cong. Platts also spoke to the Senator about Lauxmont farms last week and he said he would help. Unfortunately, his schedule is booked for the next couple of months. If something opens up, I will let you know. Go ahead and schedule Murphy and we will show up to reinforce the senator’s interest. Let’s talk soon. Gayle

Gayle:

Hi, how are you? I saw in the paper this morning that the Senator was in Harrisburg again today so I expect you’re very busy! Sorry I didn’t get back to your call returning my call. I basically wanted to update you on what I knew with regard to Lauxmont state funding but I believe Barb and Bob Bair took that initiative at State Committee so that you are up to speed.

I am to be writing a letter of support for the delegation’s signatures which I hope to get accomplished to day that we can forward to the Governors office, re-enforcing it as a priority for the delegation. We will be sure to copy you on that correspondence.

Also, I am not sure when it would be most strategic to invite the Senator to tour the Lauxmont farm area and a quick visit to Camp Security but I believe, as does Mark Platts, that it is something we should look to accomplish at some point in the near future. In fact, it would be great if we could coordinate the Senator’s visit with the visit of Assistant Director Murphy of the NPS.

What are your thoughts/ideas for such a visit? Please let us know. Thanks!

Don
